Giant mantas, playful dolphins, and remote Pacific beauty—this is Socorro.

Trip Dates: February 23 – March 3, 2027

In the vast, untamed Pacific, there exists a place so stunning, so untouched by time, that it feels like an entirely different world—Socorro. This extraordinary archipelago is not just a destination; it’s an experience that immerses you in the raw beauty of nature, where every dive feels like an encounter with the divine.

The remote beauty of Socorro is unmatched, offering a pristine, untouched underwater world teeming with life. As a UNESCO World Heritage Site and national park, this archipelago remains tightly protected, ensuring a one-of-a-kind experience for the lucky few who venture here.

Socorro is famous for its friendly, interactive giant manta rays, but in 2027, the spectacle grows even bigger. During this time of year, the surrounding waters welcome migrating humpback whales, offering divers the rare chance to hear whale song underwater—and, with luck, see these magnificent creatures gliding through the blue.

The Diving

Over five full dive days, you will be able to experience some of our favorite sites such as El Canyon, the Boiler, Red Rocks, Roca Partida, Cabo Pearce, Punta Tosca and Roca Oneal.

4 dives a day other than the day that we do our mandatory check in at the local navy base.

The Liveaboard

The Nautilus Explorer

We’re on the flagship vessel featuring an all new super-large dive deck and water level platform combined with picture windows around the main salon and separate dining room.

We love the Explorer and she looks fantastic with her recent stretch to 132 feet in length, new air conditioning and interior updates.

Important Notes

  • Advanced Diving, must be comfortable in current
  • The crossing from Cabo to Socorro is 24 hours long, if you are prone to seasickness, it is recommended you get the patch.
