2027 Eclipse Dive Expedition: Red Sea Adventure
Once-in-a-lifetime celestial event. World-class diving. One unforgettable journey.
Imagine surfacing from a dive and watching day turn to night—the 2027 solar eclipse will pass directly over our liveaboard route in the southern Red Sea, creating a once-in-a-lifetime spectacle. Add that to world-class diving, pristine coral reefs, and encounters with manta rays, hammerheads, and even whale sharks, and you have an unforgettable adventure that combines the best of the ocean and the sky.
The Red Sea is a diver’s paradise, home to over 1,000 species of fish, vibrant coral gardens, dramatic drop-offs, and legendary wrecks. Recognized as one of the Seven Underwater Wonders of the World, it offers world-class diving for every level. From playful dolphins and graceful manta rays to elusive dugongs and iconic sharks like oceanic white tips, hammerheads, and whale sharks, this destination is every diver’s dream. Crystal-clear, warm waters make visibility excellent, while a variety of sites ensures something for every skill level.
Our route takes us to the southern Red Sea, home to legendary dive sites like St. Johns, Fury Shoals, Sha’ab Sharm, and Elphinstone Reef. Here, we’ll enjoy wall dives, coral gardens, tunnels, and thrilling blue-water drifts—all in remote, untouched waters.
This southern route also places us directly in the path of totality for the 2027 solar eclipse, ensuring that after a morning dive, you can witness one of the rarest celestial events from the deck of your liveaboard—truly a front-row seat to history.
One of the things that makes our Red Sea Eclipse trip unique is that our group will be split between two Emperor liveaboards traveling together. This allows us to accommodate more travelers while still enjoying the camaraderie of one shared adventure.
The Emperor Elite is a spacious, custom-designed liveaboard featuring stylish, air-conditioned common areas, comfortable cabins, and a welcoming atmosphere. Guests can relax in the spacious saloon, enjoy delicious chef-prepared meals in the air-conditioned dining room, and unwind each evening with complimentary red wine served at dinner.
The Emperor Asmaa offers a more intimate liveaboard experience, comfortably accommodating just 18 guests in nine ensuite twin cabins. Designed with divers in mind, she’s a favorite among groups who appreciate her friendly atmosphere, personalized service, and easy access to some of the Red Sea’s most spectacular dive sites.
The Best of Both
No matter which boat you’re assigned to, you’ll enjoy the same exceptional Emperor hospitality, excellent cuisine, complimentary red wine with dinner, and an unforgettable week exploring the Red Sea’s incredible reefs and marine life. Both boats follow the same itinerary, so everyone shares the same amazing diving experience—just with a slightly different onboard atmosphere.
